A joint project of Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the Counties of El Dorado, Sierra, Nevada, Placer, Amador and Calaveras

Motherlode Energy Watch delivers energy-efficiency programs and service to local communities. The program is open to qualified small businesses, residential and municipal PG&E customers in the communities encompassed by the partner counties.

PROGRAMS
Municipal Building Energy Audits
Survey of major energy-consuming systems to identify potential energy-saving opportunities within municipal buildings. Examples of energy-saving measures including lighting retrofits and retro commissioning.
Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx)
Innovative process that uses comprehensive built-in measurement and verification equipment, energy-efficiency education and training, and expert identification of new cost-effective efficiency retrofit opportunities to increase sustainable energy savings.
Training and Education
PG&E provides energy workshops designed specifically for local government decision-makers and facility staff in member counties and communities of the Motherlode Energy Watch Program. These free training opportunities offer suggestions on how to reduce government facility energy bills and operate more energy efficiently.
City Lights Program
Program to retrofit lighting around downtown perimeters of participating communities for greater energy and cost savings.

California consumers are not obligated to purchase any full fee service or other service not funded by this program. This program is funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Funding is limited. Rebates and services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2008 or until program funds are depleted, whichever comes first.
