PROGRAMS
Small Business Direct Install Program
Small businesses can take advantage of new energy saving opportunities through:
    •    Free on-site assessment to identify energy savings.
    •    Expert installation of energy-saving equipment at greatly reduced cost.
Examples of energy efficiency measures offered through the program include interior, exterior and high-bay lighting, LED exit signs, lighting controls, refrigeration tune-ups and controls and evaporator fan motor, door gasket and strip curtain replacements.

Multifamily Direct Install Program
Qualifying multi-family building owners can receive free full-building energy efficiency audits (common and residential spaces), no and low cost turnkey installation of efficiency measures such as weatherization, efficient lighting, and ceiling insulation. More involved projects such as window replacements, wall insulation and furnace replacement are also supported by the program.

Specialized Energy and Technical Services
Program engineers are available for no-cost, on-site energy audits and will provide recommendations for improvements in energy-use throughout a facility. Common opportunities for energy use improvements in buildings include advanced controls and HVAC improvements.

Codes and Standards
San Francisco Energy Watch works with local officials to enhance local energy codes and standards that address specific needs in partner communities. San Francisco, in a joint project with Oakland and Berkeley, is enhancing its existing Residential Energy Conservation Ordinance to include more measures and require a greater investment. The program is also proposing a requirement that linear fluorescent lighting in commercial buildings meets a minimum efficiency standard.

Green Business Certification
Businesses can achieve a certification as a green business by performing a minimum number of resource efficiency measures from a checklist in each of the areas of Energy, Recycling & Waste, Water, Toxics, and Transportation.
