San Joaquin Energy Watch


A joint project of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the County of San Joaquin and the Cities of Manteca, Tracy and Lathrop

San Joaquin Energy Watch is a targeted energy-efficiency campaign, providing expanded outreach and energy efficiency-funding for the businesses, residents, and city facilities of San Joaquin County.

PROGRAMS
Municipal Building Energy Audits
Survey of major energy-consuming systems to identify potential energy-saving opportunities within municipal buildings. Examples of energy-saving measures include lighting retrofits and retro commissioning.

Codes and Standards for Energy Efficiency
Silicon Valley Energy Watch works with local officials to enhance local energy codes and standards that address specific needs in partner communities.

Real Property Time of Sale Program
Qualified agents/brokers and home inspectors receive energy-efficiency training, enabling them to help potential home buyers make more informed decisions. Home inspectors will be trained to provide time-of-sale energy checkup ratings to the new homeowners. Participating home-buyers receive free compact florescent lamps.

Small Business Education Program
Training seminars provided in conjunction with PG&E’s Pacific Energy Center and Energy Training Center, among others.

California consumers are not obligated to purchase any full fee service or other service not funded by this program. This program is funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Funding is limited. Rebates and services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis until December 31, 2008 or until program funds are depleted, whichever comes first.
